What services does OnCheckin support deploying to?
When you configure a project for OnCheckin you have the option of deploying by a number of means. OnCheckin natively supports the Continuous Build and Continuous Deployment to servers running FTP, FTPS, SFTP (Basic Auth) and WebDeploy.
WebDeploy is by far the most popular method of deployment by our customers for two reasons:
Delta deployments. When you make changes to your site and deploy using WebDeploy, our build nodes upload using the “checksum” WebDeploy method of diffing your projects contents. This leads to super-fast deployments as we often only need to upload a few files instead of uploading your entire codebase.
Delete removed project files. OnCheckin’s implementation of WebDeploy supports the ability to Delete files that are removed from your project’s source folders. This means that if you remove a dependency or Nuget package, we’ll remove it from your /bin folder, leading to less dependency conflicts.
