What about my code – is it safe?

Our business revolves around safe, easy deployment for your ASP.Net websites. We do however need to face the fact that in order to build, test and deploy your website we need a copy of your source code.

Let’s face it: We don’t want your code!

Although we need your source code to be able to build and deploy your site, we don’t really want it – it’s yours after all. This approach guides how our service treats your source code: with the utmost respect.

  1. We don’t store any of your project’s source*.
  2. During download and deployment your code is kept in a sandbox away from other OnCheckin’s users.
  3. After we’ve finished deploying your site, we destroy the source code stored on our build nodes.

While having a copy of your last commit would make our service faster, and reduce the bandwidth and storage required for us to deploy your site, it would mean we had a copy of your intellectual property – something we want to avoid.

* If you are using SVN or Team Foundation Server we store a list of the projects from your solution file. This enables us to give you an easy way to select which project to deploy from a drop down.
