What does the Deployment test actually do?

When we test your deployment settings we do not do anything malicious, but to put your mind at ease below is a list of actions we carry out during a deployment test:

  1. Connect to your servers.
  2. List the files on your server to ensure we have list permissions. We do not store this information.
  3. Upload a test file to ensure we have write permissions. It will have a random file name similar to “temp-2A099C36-7436-49BF-9542-D2D76A3A4343.txt”.
  4. Delete the above uploaded test file to ensure we have delete permissions. We need these to delete the holding App Offline page we upload during deployment.
